From seed to edible fruit, they are quick growing, but they only grow when close enough to their mother plant. If they are all eaten, the mother plant will reseed the area with more. To remove a patch of them, just ctrl+shift+click on the mother plant to remove her and the rest of fruit will disappear when eaten or picked. They contain a number of small tweaks and improvements from the previous mother plant patches.
