Fungus Ettin

The Fungus Ettin is a new type of creature with sprites occupying Ettin Slot F.

Unique lifecycle:
Rather than breeding, Fungus Ettins reproduce via a mycelium: This is a network of fungal organs, including underground fibres and a large fruiting body.
When Fungus Ettins reach adulthood (+- 30 minutes) they have a limited amount of Fungus Nitrate (chemical 186) in their bodies.
Fungus Nitrate drives the Ettins to visit mycelia, which emit Norn Home scent.
The mycelium absorbs the genetic information of visiting Fungus Ettins in it cells, as well as some Fungus Nitrate.
When enough data is collected, the mycelium may produce glowing eggs that hatch new Ettins. Up to 10 genomes can be stored at a time.
The number of eggs produced by mycelia is dynamic and depends on how many creatures are present in your world.
Fungus Ettins can leave their genetic information at a mycelium 4 times: Either at different mycelia or at the same mycelium after some time has passed.
As the Ettins lose Fungus Nitrate, their motivation to visit the mycelium also reduces (generally after 3 times).
Fungus Ettins then also start to take more risks, such as approaching Grendels and Norns, or they may push portals to leave your world.
To produce healthier offspring, the mycelium needs nutrients. It feeds on nearby detritus, food, fruit and seeds.
You can click on the large fruiting body (Mycelium Mother) to produce additional mycelia.
However, each active mycelium reduces the speed at which eggs are produced (by about 10% per active mycelium).

General Fungus Ettin traits (compared to CFE "ettn.final46e.gen.brain.gen"):
- Longevity: Fungus Ettins age more slowly, live longer and are more flexible when old.
- Reducer: Fungus Ettins can safely eat anything and prefer detritus and food.
- Symbiosis: Fungus Ettins cultivate antigens, instead of becoming sick.
	- Similar to Toxic Norns, antigens may provide e.g., nutrients (but at a lower rate).
	- Antigens may also alleviate the moods of Fungus Ettins or allow an anaerobic lifestyle.
- Cell wall: Fungus Ettins experience less pain and heal from wounds slightly faster.
- Aposematism: Fungus Ettins express additional genes for colour.
- Fun guy / Fun gal: Fungus Ettins are somewhat better at regulating their emotions.
- Vestigial gadget hoarding: While the instinct to grab gadgets is present, Fungus Ettins do not carry them to the Ettin Desert.
- Innovative traveler: Fungus Ettins are more likely to push teleporters, portals, machinery and toys.

Variant based genomes:
"var.ettin.fung2.gen" is the regular genome with only the changes above.
You can optionally install the other genome files to hatch Fungus Ettins from your Norn Egg Layer with extra personality traits.
With all genomes active, you can hatch up to 32 extra personalities that can mix and match in the mycelium. See below:
