::----- Hints.txt -----:: ALBIAN ANT NORNS --------------------------- HINTS and TIPS Albian Ant Norns have a very short lifespan that rarely ever exceeds one hour. It is therefore vital you get your Norns breeding as soon as possible.Luckily, Ant Norns have several special adaptations that not only make breeding easier, but also beneficial to a female's lifespan. They typically reach sexual maturity after around ten minutes. Unfortunately, mating will significantly reduce a male Albian Ant Norn's lifespan, and they typically only live for around twenty minutes. For females, this is different; mating and laying eggs will slow down their ageing, therefore making them live longer lives than the males. Females who live the longest are referred to as "queens", and they may live for around two hours or more. Albian Ant Norns are extremely social, don't get crowded, and enjoy living in large groups. Unfortunately the Incubator Room isn't big enough for large groups of Norns, but you can always relocate several to a more suitable areas. Ideal places to keep Albian Ant Norns are the swamp, the area near the frog pond, or simply Albia's surface. Make sure you take precautions to prevent your Norns from drowning! They have a regular sleep cycle just like regular Norns, but if they are exposed to cold and start to shiver, it can make them feel tired, which is especially common during Winter or in Albia's colder areas. If your Ant Norns are constantly sleepy try relocating them to a warmer area. Thanks to their strong immune system, Albian Ant Norns are much less likely to suffer from disease than regular Norns. They also enjoy eating weeds, so don't worry if your Norn starts snacking on a deathcap mushroom! Q. How many Ant Norns should I start off with? A. It doesn't matter. As long as the female is mating often she should be able to lay enough eggs for a stable population. Q. Can I cross-breed Albian Ant Norns A. I wouldn't recommend cross-breeding as it may create Norns with unusually short lifespans or odd breeding habits. Of course, you could always try experimenting! Q. Will a male Ant Norn age even if he doesn't get a female pregnant? A. Yes. If you find your male Norns are unsuccessful at impregnating females, try seperating them and introducing them again when the female's oestrogen levels are high. If she still isn't getting pregnant, try using aphrodisiacs. TIPS * Don't worry about leaving your Ant Norns alone; they are hardy creatures and can usually breed on their own! * Avoid keeping Grendels and Albian Ant Norns together; the presense of a Grendel near the nest will agitate female Ant Norns and may distract them from laying their eggs. <...truncated> ::----- Readme.txt -----:: ALBIAN ANT NORNS --------------------------- Breeds Required: * Dragonfly Norns * Golden Desert Norns To install: Copy the Eggs folder and place it in your Creatures 2 Directory, allowing it to overwrite the original folder.
