Thank yo u for downloading the Salamander Norns! Here is a care guide on how to take care of your new pets properly, along with a few hints and tips. Be sure to read through thoroughly before hatching any Salamander Norns.

     Requirements:
       · The Toxic Norn Pack – Head, body and arm sprites
       · The Banshee Grendel Pack – Leg and tail sprites

     Feeding Salamander Norns
Salamander Norns are strictly carnivorous, and plants and fruits have no nutritional value to them whatsoever. In order to keep them healthy, you shoul d feed your Norns bugs and critters as a source of protein, although you should also feed them food such as carrots or cheese in addition to this in order to provide them with fat . Salamander Norns are also detritivores, and must eat detritus as it provides them with starch. Keep in mind that Salamander Norns are not toxic Norns, and they can still die if they become heavily infected with bacteria.
As there aren’ t any edible critters onboard the Capillata, you should try downloading some or you could use the Crobsters from the Bondi Norn Pack. You could also try feeding your Salamander Norns stingers as they are immune to geddonase, but they are still somewhat painful to eat. Many critters and bugs from the Creatures 3 Ark such as dragonfly larv ae and hedgehogs are also good food sources.

     Caring for baby Salamander Norns
Salamander Norns aren’ t ordinary Norns; once hatched their lungs haven’ t developed enough to breathe oxygen from the air, so it is vital that you get your Salamander Norn babies to water as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are no bodies of water onboard the Capillata, and the pond in the Norn Terrarium is too small, so it is important that you have downloaded at least one aquatic metaroom. Here are a few different metarooms that provide an excellent home for young Salamander Norns:
       · Norngarden 4 – Provides a large water area along with a small section of land for fully-grown Norns. It is also rich in bugs and critters for your Salamander Norns to eat.
       · Aquatilis Caverna – Possibly the largest aquatic metaroom. Provides plenty of critters for your babies to eat. You may wish to provide some bugs for your young Norns to eat.
       · The Pond – Floods the entire lower level of the Norn Meso, making it easier for your newborn babie s to access water. It also comes with dragonflies and stickletrout for your Norns to eat.
Once Salamander Norns reach youth, their lungs are fully developed and they are now fully amphibious . It is a good idea to encourage your Salamander Norns to lay their eggs in water, as it prevents you having to keep guiding any baby Norns back to the water whenever they hatch.

     Hints & Tips
       · You can download a special agent from Mummy’ s Creatures that allows eggs to hatch in water.
       · If you are using The Pond and your baby Salamander Norns keep trying to use the elevator, it is a good idea to autokill the elevator button by typing CTRL+SHIFT+C and then typing kill hots . After you have typed this in place the hand over the elevator button and press enter. This will stop babies from killing themselves by exposing themselves to air.
       · If you don’ t have the Bondi Norn Pack, you should download the Yautja Norn pack, which includes crunchy beetles for your Norns to eat.
       · You can download the improved Swimmeragent from the CCSF 2010 website to allow your Salamander Norns to swim.
       · Cross-breeding the Salamander Norns with different breeds isn't recommended, as the babies may be born with severe respiratory mutations.

     Care Guide Summary
       · Babies, children and adolescent Salamander Norns can only survive in water. Once they reach youth stage they are air breathers and will drown in water.
       · Are strictly carnivorous and should be fed both critters and bugs to provide essential nutrients.
       · Are immune to Geddonase, making them capable of eating stingers without being poisoned. Stingers are still painful to eat, however!
       · Are unsuitable for wolfing runs due to their respiratory requirements
