My second wolfling run took place in Terra Nornia where you can have more than 12 norns. I know that this page has been up for quite a while, but I still find the norns on this page worth to take a look at, so I did not want to take them down. The run lasted 10 hours and started at 20:45 in the evening and ended at 6:45 the next morning. I didn't hatch any new eggs but let one of my breeding populations run wild in Terra Nornia. When I started, there were 17 norns and one grendel in the world. Most norns were already pensioners or very near pensioner age, but about half a dozen were still able to breed. When I came back the next morning I found a world with 14 unnamed norns and two freshly laid eggs. The graveyard applet displayed the deaths of the whole original population and the deaths of three unregistered norns. Since all my norns have the ageing death receptor gene, I had expected that none of the original norns would still be alive, they generally die between 8 and 13 hours, depending on the rate they age which differs from norn to norn. In Creatures 1 you can't tell when a norn has died, because the time on the death certificate is always the time when the tombstone is made, but I think that all norns have lived for at least a couple of hours, because most of them have left one or more descendants. The males had higher life forces than the females, but hey, they don't have to lay eggs. ;-) Below you can download a couple of the participants of the run, for some of them you will need the Wood Norn Sprites which you can get at Mummys Creatures. 1. The three norns below belong to the original cast that has died overnight. From left to right: Woody, Cendrine and Nancy. They all have left their offspring in the world. You can download them in the form of three eggs which you can inject into your world using any object injector you want. 2. These are the three unregistered norns that roamed Terra Nornia during that night. If there wasn' t the wonder of cloning, they would have disappeared forever. They have also all left descendants. From left to right: Hermes, Turid and Minika. 3. These are the babies from the two eggs that were in the world when I stopped the run: Farhild and Malte. 4. And here they are: The six most successful survivors: Ermina, Fabrizia, Ferdie, Lewis, Juan and Lia. The females have life forces ranging between 34% and 46%, the males are all over 70%. BTW, Ermina is pregnant, so there is one additional free norn in this package. :-) They are all untrained and between one and five hours old. All should still be able to breed. Juan has the highest life force of them all, 89%. I found him in the kitchen with the grendel where they apparently did nothing but eat. The high life force is not the result of some weird mutation, he is just a good eater. Last changes: 28/03/05 |
