On this page you will find a description of the flora of Terra Nornia, a new world for Creatures 1 brought to you by Sandra Linkletter and Lis Morris. Since Sandra Linkletter has removed her Creatures collection at the end of 1998, Terra Nornia is available at The Palace of the Evil Shee.

This guide would not have been possible if they hadn't documented everything so carefully. All the information on this page was gathered together by using the list of the scripts included in the documentation of Terra Nornia.

In Terra Nornia you will find all the herbs and weeds that are also present in Albia, but there are some new ones we didn't know before. If you want to know if your norn has eaten a weed or a herb, take a look at the list below.

The herbs

Morning glory:

Reduces sleepiness and tiredness, just as in Albia.

Feverfew:

Reduces Pain and Hunger. The same as in Albia.

Campanula:

You can treat a fever with this one. It's the same as in Albia.

Ugly Tomato Plant:

Reduces sex drive and contains a small dose of adrenaline. Yes, it is classified as a herb in Terra Nornia - it seems I'm not the only one whose norns breed like hell. ;-)

Cowslip:

Use this one to treat a cold. It reduces hotness and contains cough medecine.

Willow: Reduces pain.

Valerian:

Reduces fear, boredom and anger.

Snowdrop:

Reduces tiredness and sleepiness. If your norn has eaten the nightshade, this is a good remedy.

The weeds

Tomato:

Aphrodisiakum, contains a small dose of adrenaline. In later genomes (Ron and Forest) adrenaline reduces the life span by reacting with ageing, so don't overuse it.

Pyrethium:

Causes pain and hunger, just as in Albia.

Baobab:

Causes sneezing and coughing. Not a very dangerous weed, but nevertheless a weed.

Nightshade:

Causes sleepiness and tiredness, it's the same as in Albia.

Laburnum:

Causes fever toxin, sleep toxin, histamine A and histamine B. A nasty plant, keep your norns away from it.

Gentian:

Causes Fever and histamine B (coughing).

Death cup mushroom:

Causes pain, hotness and hunger. Contains glycotoxin just as in Albia. Keep very young and very old norns (or any week ones) away from it.

Mistletoe:

Aphrodisiakum, but not as powerful as the tomato plant.

Holly:

Reduces need for pleasure and boredom, but causes pain.

Asparagus: Aphrodisiakum.

Fly Agaric:

Has roughly the same properties as a long drink. ;-) Contains alcohol, but is not as dangerous as it might look.

Monk's Hood:

This is the nastiest weed in Terra Nornia. Compared to this one, the death cup mushroom is a nice snack for your norns! The monks' hood contains three times as much glycotoxin as the death cup and has some other nasty side effects. It grows in spring and summer near the beehives.
