In a remote part of Albia, the Shee have built a house to store all the strange things they had brought back from their journeys through the galaxy. It seems that they were especially fascinated by a blue planet orbiting a rather insignificant star located far away from the galactic center where they found all kinds of odd animals never seen on any other world. This museum is now open to all creatures, but only during night time. Let them explore a strange and exciting world in the Albian Museum of Natural History and Science. CreditsLike Darwinia, the Albian Museum is based on one of Sandra Linkletter's starter worlds. She has also contributed the scripts for the most important basic objects such as the incubator, the bee hives, the lifts and the doors. For more details please read the documentation. Special thanks to my testers: Carolyn Horn (Slink's Specials) http://www.jannart.on.ca/caro/carotoc.htm Jutta Maria Pusl (Mummy's Creatures) http://www.creatures.de Marianne Zientner Below are some images of this new world that is currently being tested and will be available for download soon. The screenshots are rather big (800x600 pixels), the small picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Screenshots:Before you download this new world, please note that the Albian Museum is for Creatures 1 only. Please make sure that you are running at least version 1.02 of Creatures, I don't think that it will work correctly with version 1.0. I have tested it myself under version 1.04. If you are still running version 1.0, you should consider to download the free updates at Cyberlife's website. InstallationIt is very easy to install the Albian Museum: Please unzip all files from the image archive to your Creatures/Images directory. The background sprite also goes in this directory. The files in the sound archive go in your Creatures/Sounds directory. Please copy museum.sfc to your Creatures directory. If you have the doctor cheat enabled, you can open it directly from the world menu, if you don't have the cheats, please rename your world.sfc to something else (i.e. world.old) and rename museum.sfc world.sfc. The next time you start Creatures, the Albian Museum will be loaded instead of Albia or any other world you were using. Download:background graphic (2,9 MB) images archive (340 kb) sound archive (350 kb) world file and documentation (30 kb) Note: a list of all objects in the world is included with the world file. There is no cheese in the world (just one piece of cheese which was used to install the scripts and that I forgot to remove), but the scripts are installed. If you cannot do without cheese, you can inject any of the available cheese vendors. Last changes: 28/02/04 |
