Description
The Custom Eggs Framework allows custom egg sprites to be linked to specific breeds in C3/DS. The custom eggs laid by a creature are determined by the breed slot used by that creature's head.
With the catalogue, you can even choose exactly how many different types of eggs each species has and how many sprites each egg uses.
Using 4 catalogue files with 104 tags, you can personalize what a breed's eggs will look like. Each breed slot gets as many custom eggs as you want them to have. You don't even have to overwrite the original files, just make your own with the same tag and put OVERRIDE after it, and it'll use that instead.
These different egg sprites are based on the head of the mother, so if a norn uses a Grendel head slot, it will lay a Grendel egg. Applies to all species.
Includes No Seasonal Gender Bias (1.0) By Amaikonut. With that, all eggs smell like eggs and not just norn eggs. You can toggle Water Eggs and Seasonal Bias using the game variables at the top of the cos file. This only affects laid eggs.
- Version 1.0 has a sprite file for each possible slot.
- Version 2.0 allows for the use of the same sprite file for multiple slots, and handles this through a catalogue file, allowing more customization over eggs.
- Version 2.1 comes with a Non-binary patch, if you use Nornbinary.
- Version 2.11 comes with Banshee Grendel custom eggs.
- Version 2.12 comes with better error handling and better Geat support.
You should probably notify Verm if you want to modify this, but Verm is gone for a while do whatever you want. Making new egg sprites and posting them on CCaves or other sites is completely fine without Verm's information, though you should link back to the original agent.
