Description

Grendel Slot Q.

Cleaned up and bug-free Tilynn Norns, complete with all life stages, floating pixels removed, holes patched and the odd little error like a backward head fixed up.

Tilynns are off-white opalescent norns with light-dappled markings if you squint. Curiously, they are photosynthetic when exposed to light CAs, and amphibious! They seem to respire more efficiently in water! However, I can't say for sure if this is at the expense of their photosynthesis, as I don't know how the engine handles light dispersal through the water room type. On the plant theme, they also get more out of interacting with plants- it now reduces loneliness, discomfort and boredom.

Their original genetics creator put in a lot of small tweaks and redundancies to try and improve their lifespans over the default creatures. Examples are that they remove toxins from their bodies faster, and can produce prostaglandin in more than one organ (this is important for healing and is usually only produced in the "bones" of your creatures). Being inactive (quiescent) causes them to put on fat and overall they're hard if not impossible to starve of raw energy. However, this doesn't mean they can't die of malnutrition from a lack of important chemicals that maintain their bodies and organs, from catastrophic injuries or old age in the extremely long run.

Some cute little visual notes are that they have a few unique pose and gait genes, apparently moving a little differently when drunk for example, and they also have a very subtle set of pregnancy sprites, only really expanding by a few pixels.

In terms of uses, I'd recommend this breed for:
-Plant or nature-themed runs where you want to breed in photosynthesis and positive reactions to plants.
-Amphibious worlds or ones with a lot of water where you don't want drowning risks.
-Improving the overall "vitality" of a failing genetic population, as there are lots of standalone genetic traits in Tilynns where any one of them might improve overall health.
-Having an individual norn that is long-lived and well trained to teach behaviours to fellow creatures.
-Introducing kids to the game with a creature that's harder to kill accidentally.

Bear in mind this is the original genome and has not been edited in any way, so I cannot tell you if it has CFE, CFF, 2017 or TWB features. I can say though that these are happy, healthy norns and I hope you enjoy their new look and improved functionality. <3
